Abudhabi Muezzin
I recorded this muezzin during my stay in abu dhabi. It was the mosque close to the hotel i stayed in. It is the noon-time-prayer. Abu dhabi has a lot of hihgrisers. Wildlife Recordings Nightjarcall
This sound was recorded via the use of a behringer b2 microphone, fostex fr2 and a home made parabolic reflector made from a tv satellite dish. The source of the sound was between 100m-200m away from the microphone. This has been eq'ed with high-end shelving to reduce gain noise, low-end shelved up to 1khz (to reduce wind and background noise) and the overall gain has been increased. The bird sound on the recording, is a bird called a "nightjar" which is a nocturnal bird. If you are interested in the build of the reflector itself, i have documented it here: https://www. Youtube. Ridley Road Market April
A walk through ridley road market in dalston, east london. Lots of people chatting and music playing. As with many markets in london there are lots of languages being spoken. You can hear traders calling out what they're selling. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is some processing to this recording to ‘normalize’ the levels and light eq-ing. I do not require any credit or attribution. Phone Gone Crazy In The Cathedral
While attempting to create a sick ass dubstep wob noise in rob papen's albino synth plugin, i managed to stumble across a telephone-like sound while pitching the filter cutoff on a weird shaped wave oscillator. I then put down the dubstep tune, and exported the noise with a gradual huge reverb at the end just for fun. I hope you enjoy it and i'd love to hear if someone uses it and in what context!.
